The College of Science, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at the University of Baghdad, organized a symposium on supporting scientific research and publishing in international indexing databases. The event was held under the patronage and in the presence of Assist.Prof.Dr. Raed Faleh Hassan, Dean of the College, along with the Vice Deans for Scientific Affairs and Student Affairs, department heads, faculty members, students, and specialists in the field of scientific research.
The symposium aimed to enhance the research process within the college, contributing to the advancement of higher education and the elevation of Iraqi universities in global rankings. This objective aligns with the adoption of a comprehensive scientific research strategy focused on increasing the number of published studies indexed in Clarivate and Scopus databases. The initiative also seeks to support research that addresses societal needs and aligns with global publication standards, particularly in Nature Science and the Shanghai Ranking classifications.
The discussions centered on improving research performance and increasing publication in internationally recognized indexing databases to enhance quality, efficiency, and research impact.
