The Higher Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies organized a workshop titled “Volunteering and Sustainable Development,” supervised by the Dean of the Institute, Certified Accountant Assist.Prof.Dr. Ali Mohammed Thajil Al-Mamouri. The workshop was managed by Assist.Prof.Dr. Khulood Hadi Aboud, a faculty member at the institute, with a lecture delivered by Assist.Prof.Dr. Aida Fawzi Ahmed, a faculty member at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences. The workshop was attended by several faculty members and graduate students from the institute.
The event aimed to emphasize volunteering as a foundation that enhances community and environmental sustainability by developing skills. Universities provide workshops and training courses to improve students’ skills in areas such as leadership, communication, and problem-solving.
The workshop concluded by highlighting the importance of providing opportunities for students to apply what they have learned in the classroom through volunteering. Universities organize awareness campaigns on social and environmental issues, encouraging students to engage in volunteer work.
