The Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific awareness workshop on introducing the Integrity Penalties Law in cooperation with the Federal Integrity Commission, the teaching session was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Rasha Issa Fares and Legal Advisor Manaf Ahmed Shaalan, under the supervision of the Director of the Center, Prof. Dr. Alaa Nafi Jassim and in the presence of a number of professors and researchers.

The workshop aimed at introducing the Integrity Penal Code. The legal counsel clarifies the work of the Integrity Commission which is to combat corruption and the penalties that result from this by the Integrity Commission Law, represented by penalties of imprisonment, financial fines, dismissal, employment, travel ban, and the mechanism of recovering funds in the event of conviction of the accused.

The workshop concluded by clarifying the law in the main form to reduce corruption levels and encourage reporting of corruption cases within measures that provide protection for whistleblowers and enhance transparency at work.
