The College of Pharmacy at the University of Baghdad has organized a training workshop entitled ” Differential Scanning Calorimetry” delivered by the lecturer Ruaa Abdul Hamid Nayif from the Pharmaceutical Branch that included a detailed explanation of this thermal differential device and the explanation of its parts and functions and also dealt with how to prepare samples for pharmaceuticals, polymers and mixtures before examining them by this tool. The workshop also discussed an explanation of how the product of Shimadzu Corporation works for particular drugs and the most important observations during the preparation of a sample and the way it is examined directly via the device and then explaining the results obtained from the sample in addition to some traditional methods used for measuring the degree of fusion.
