The Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Council (QAAAC) has organized a meeting at the presidency of the University of Baghdad to discuss the latest rankings achieved in grades achieved in the QS World University Rankings and Scimago Institutions Rankings (SIR) in the presence of the rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi and the assistant rector for scientific affairs, Prof. Dr. Marwan Abdul Hamid Ashour as well as a number of deans of colleges and the director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Rana Thabet Abd.
The members discussed the implementation of an improvement plan of criteria according to the self-assessment report as well as the initiation of the preparation of conformity and directing the faculties to apply the requirements for obtaining a programmical accreditation designed to ensure that an academic program has undergone a rigorous review process as well as discussing the performance report of the policy of the University of Baghdad, in addition to providing and applying the technical and environmental requirements along with safety requirements at the university’s formations. The meeting also included a review of the findings of a specialized auditing of scientific and research laboratories and discussion of the ISO Energy File and the instructions related to the initiative of the Council of Ministers and the movements of officials of quality assurance divisions at all university’s formations, also set a date for the establishment of the second scientific products exhibition for the University of Baghdad under the slogan: ” Sustainability as a Way of Life “.
