The Adult Nursing Branch has organized in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Nursing an extensive electronic workshop on the relationship of smoking to heart disease via Google Meet service in the presence of a number of professors and students of undergraduate and postgraduate studies. This workshop was presented by Prof. Dr. Hakima Shaker Hassan and Assist. Prof. Dr. Sadiq Abdul Hussein al-Fayyad.

The workshop aimed to identify the causes and risks of smoking of all kinds and the diseases caused by and its impact on the general health of both sexes in addition to the relationship of secondhand smoking with heart disease and blood vessels as the workshop addressed the most important therapeutic methods and advice necessary for smokers on how to help smokers quit smoking for the purpose of maintaining health and the environment and promoting a healthy society. At the end of the workshop, the attendees praised the students for their thanks and gratitude to the workshop organizers due to the importance of information about heart diseases caused by smoking of all kinds as well as medical advice and guidance on quitting smoking and spreading health education among students about the negative risks of smoking to heart health.
