The council of the University of Baghdad held its twenty third session under the chairmanship of the rector Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi and the membership of his assistants for scientific and administrative affairs, the council secretary, members and deans of faculties, institutes and postgraduate centers. At the onset of the session the members shed light on the success of the progress of the final examinations whether conducted in classrooms or online in addition to the full preparation for receiving our dear students at the next academic year, such as matters related to the rehabilitation of classrooms and maintenance of all electrical appliances, halls and laboratories through the formation of technical and engineering teams to follow-up all these processes and to submit periodic reports to the university’s presidency on what has been achieved in each university’s formation.
Dr. Munir al-Saadi called on the deans of the colleges to study the number of students applying for study before the start of the next year, stressing that all professors have to prepare a systematic plan on the attendance of students to organize working hours, on condition that the evening classes should begin at 12 p.m. Then the members discussed the scientific promotions and the assignment of lecturers in summer classes, as well as school holidays and scholarship. At the conclusion of the session, the rector thanked all faculty members and employees due to their sincere efforts in the course of the current academic year and their significant role in the success of final exams, in line with the preventive measures and safety conditions taken at these critical conditions.
