Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad, accompanied by his assistant for scientific affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdul kareem al-Sammarraie, the assistant rector for administrative affairs Prof. Dr. Ahmed Wahid Nasser and a number of directors of departments, visited lately the university’s museum and were briefed on its assets that reflected the legacy of the University of Baghdad, in addition to some symbolic gifts and other collections. The rector praised the efforts made by specialists for preserving this scientific and cultural heritage, also he directed that some historical paintings and commemorative photographs that are available now at the university’s presidency should be preserved at this museum as they highlight our beautiful past.

Then Dr. Munir al-Saadi and the delegation accompanying him visited the center for development & continuing education and were received by the director of the center Prof. Dr. Marwan Abdul Hamid Ashour who gave an overview on the nature of administrative work at the center as well as the course schedule and catalog for the current academic year. The rector stated during his speech that this center is one of the leading centers in developing and raising the capabilities of lecturers and staff, as well for effective skill refinement through partnership and common educational initiatives with other government institutions.
