The presidency of the University of Baghdad has continued its initiatives for the second day to vaccinate its staff and professors against Covid-19 pandemic where the assistant rector for administrative affairs Prof. Dr. Ahmed Wahid Nasser, accompanied by the director of the department of media and public relations Assist. Prof. Dr. Adel al-Ghariri, have inspected the progress of this health campaign and praised all the distinguished organizational efforts made by the members of the health center, stressing the role of increasing awareness among faculty member and students towards receiving vaccines before the start of the new academic year.
The members of the health center confirmed that 90 professors and employees at the University of Baghdad have been vaccinated at present under this large-scale campaign sponsored by the rector, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi. The director of the university’s health center, Prof. Dr. Amir al-Ameri, announced that this campaign will continue daily until all staff and students are being vaccinated to get rid of any infection as well as to maintain public health. It is noteworthy that the college of pharmacy at Bab al- Moatham Complex has opened up recently a special vaccination outlet where everyone can be registered online to receive Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine.
