A number of teaching staff from the department of English language at the college of education for women have participated in the proceedings of the seventh annual scientific conference held at the University of Human Development in Sulaimaniyah under the slogan (Recent trends in teaching English language, linguistics, literature and translation) where Prof. Dr. Marwa Ghazi submitted a research on aesthetics and worldwide mania phenomenon of cosmetic surgery in the last ten years.
Also Prof. Dr. Maisoon Tahir has participated in this academic event through her research paper on the psychological and physical suffering of women subjected to sexual and physical violence during the war in Congo and the lecturer Fatima Khudair who delivered a lecture on (The cognitive analysis of the daily Yahoo stories) where she studied that cognitive style of this browser the depends on the interpretation of the meaning of texts according to the scientific background of readers.
