The lecturer from the department of English language at the college of education for women, Eman Adel Jaffar has recently participated in the proceedings of the 7th international conference on the new trends in learning and teaching of English held in Dubai, UAE and sponsored by the Canadian Foundation for Learning and Development with the presence and supervision of professors specialized in linguistics.
The lecturer presented a research paper entitled “Teaching and learning the network of verbal syndromes: a linguistic study” in which she shed light on the importance of studying the verbal syndromes with the use of specialized computer tools to detect and determine the relationship between words in academic texts in which word numbers may amount to millions of words for the sake of saving effort and time.
