With the commencement of the 2025–2026 academic year, the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, conducted an inspection tour of the university’s formations located at the Bab Al-Muadham campus. The visit included the Colleges of Education (Ibn Rushd), Arts, Languages, and Fine Arts.
The purpose of the tour was to assess the current state of the educational process and to monitor the colleges’ preparedness to welcome students—particularly in terms of providing academic materials and ensuring appropriate infrastructure to facilitate smooth operations. The tour also focused on preparing classrooms and laboratories and fostering a conducive university environment.
During his meetings with the deans and academic and administrative staff, the university president emphasized the importance of overcoming obstacles faced by students and creating an encouraging academic atmosphere that supports their educational journey and advances the university’s mission to elevate academic and research standards.
He also called for intensified efforts in student activities and greater attention to artistic and cultural creativity, in a manner that enhances the University of Baghdad’s stature and its pioneering role in serving society.
This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4, which advocates for quality education, and Goal 17, which promotes partnerships to achieve these objectives.
