As part of Baghdad University’s initiative to elevate the service and infrastructural standards of its campus, a joint field tour was conducted by Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Al-Hashemi, Assistant President of Baghdad University for Administrative Affairs and acting head of the university, alongside Lieutenant General Jassim Al-Zubaidi, representative of the Prime Minister’s Service and Engineering Effort Team, Dr. Samer Mohammed Jaber, Deputy Head of the Advisory Board, and several directors of relevant departments at the university presidency. The tour aimed to monitor ongoing rehabilitation works within the university.
The delegation inspected sites included in the development campaign, which encompasses the removal of waste, preparation of unused spaces, and the creation of green areas and designated zones for student and service activities. These measures are intended to organize the campus environment and highlight its cultural and academic character.
Dr. Al-Hashemi emphasized that these steps form part of a joint cooperation program with the Prime Minister’s Office, designed to strengthen the university’s infrastructure and improve its service environment. He noted that the project seeks to provide a modern academic setting that meets the needs of students and faculty members, while enhancing the quality of education and research at the institution.
This initiative supports several Sustainable Development Goals, including Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
