The University of Baghdad Council convened its twenty-sixth session under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, during which it discussed a range of issues aimed at improving institutional performance and enhancing the efficiency of academic and administrative operations across the university’s central formations.
The Council emphasized the urgency of entering student data into the Student Information System (SIS) and encouraged students to activate their accounts. This initiative seeks to streamline the educational process and ensure the efficient delivery of electronic services.
The Council stressed the importance of implementing the Human Resources (HR) system across all university formations. This system plays a vital role in improving human resource management and ensuring the accuracy of administrative information.
The Council also issued a directive underscoring the need to adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct, particularly regarding the confidentiality of information and the prohibition of its circulation. This measure is intended to safeguard the privacy of university operations and the integrity of institutional data.
In support of scientific research, the Council recommended adopting the “Iraqi Academic Scientific Journals” website as the official platform for publishing and uploading research papers. This aligns with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
This session contributes to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)
