As part of his direct oversight of the launch of the 2025–2026 academic year, Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, President of the University of Baghdad, conducted a field visit to the Colleges of Excellence and Artificial Intelligence to review admission and registration mechanisms and the procedures in place for welcoming new students.
He was received by the deans of both colleges, along with several faculty members and administrative staff. During his visit, he chaired a meeting with department heads at the College of Excellence, where the student registration process was reviewed, along with the efforts made to establish an academic environment conducive to a successful academic year.
During the meeting, the University President emphasized the importance of adopting modern digital tools in admission and registration procedures to enhance administrative efficiency and align with the university’s digital transformation strategy. He stressed the need to simplify processes for students and provide them with the necessary support from the moment they join the college.
Dr. Ansaf commended the efforts of the administrative and teaching staff at both colleges, appreciating the level of organization and the technical and logistical preparations that had been made. He affirmed that the University of Baghdad continues to play a pioneering role in developing specialized disciplines that serve the labor market, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence and academic excellence.
The President concluded his visit by expressing his confidence that both colleges will serve as robust academic platforms for preparing scientific competencies that contribute to societal development and are equipped to meet modern technological challenges.
This initiative supports several Sustainable Development Goals, notably Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
