The Baghdad University Council convened its twenty-first session, presided over by Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, to deliberate on several crucial topics concerning the educational and administrative operations within the university.
The council chair emphasized the necessity for all university faculties to diligently oversee the final examinations for undergraduate students in the 2024/2025 academic year. He stressed the importance of ensuring adequate comfort for students and faculty members while highlighting the need for an emergency plan to secure the required electrical power supply, reflecting the university’s dedication to maintaining an optimal examination environment.
Additionally, the council reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing personnel’s financial and administrative competencies within the economic, auditing, and internal oversight departments across university divisions. In this context, it underscored the significance of participation in training programs organized by the Higher Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, aimed at strengthening staff capabilities. Furthermore, directives were issued to collaborate with the institute in structuring and auditing final accounts for both current and previous fiscal years, in accordance with the resolutions approved in the second council session held on September 30, 2024.
These directives align with Baghdad University’s ongoing efforts to elevate the quality of education and optimize administrative and financial performance, ensuring adherence to recognized academic and administrative standards.
The University Council actively contributes to two key Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 4, which advocates for quality education, and Goal 16, which promotes peace, justice, and strong institutions.
