The University of Baghdad hosted a specialized workshop on the Human Resources Management System (HR), presented by several lecturers from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The event was attended by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, along with a number of department heads, unit officials, and university staff.
The workshop aimed to highlight the operational mechanism of the system and the procedures for digitally entering employee data and information, in line with the university’s transition toward digital transformation and modernization of administrative processes.
The lecturers provided a detailed explanation of the categorization of employee information, including official documents, promotions, salary increments, various types of leave, and letters of appreciation and recognition. The system ensures comprehensive and user-friendly electronic archiving.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the lecturers emphasized the importance of adopting this digital system, noting its significant role in saving time and effort while ensuring the accuracy and security of data and documents. This initiative contributes to improving administrative efficiency within academic institutions.
Moreover, this workshop supports two key Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 8, which promotes decent work and economic growth, and Goal 17, which fosters partnerships to achieve global objectives.
