The Presidency of Baghdad University held an extensive meeting to discuss the implementation of a modern electronic mechanism for managing purchase requests through the Ministry of Planning’s platform. The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammed Al-Shamma’, Director of the Electronic Computing Center; Dr. Haifa Youssef Salman, Director of the Internal Audit and Control Department; and Lecturer Furat Nidal Tawfiq, Head of the Website Division, alongside several representatives from the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department, the Warehouses Division, and liaison officers from various departments.
The discussion included a detailed presentation on the four stages of completing purchase requests electronically via the Electronic Forms Management System, outlining the specific authorizations granted to each member at various phases, as well as the approval and auditing procedures designed to ensure accuracy and transparency in the workflow.
This initiative aligns with Baghdad University’s strategy to enhance digital transformation, aiming to improve administrative efficiency, reduce reliance on paper transactions, and accelerate the completion of financial and administrative processes in accordance with the highest standards of quality and electronic governance.
Through this project, Baghdad University reinforces its commitment to advancing several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
