The Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the Guidance Center for Examinations, organized an introductory workshop on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam. The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members and students interested in developing their language skills and meeting the admission requirements for international universities.
The workshop covered the importance of the IELTS exam as a key requirement for admission to many international universities, in addition to being an effective tool for improving the language proficiency of students and educational staff. The session also provided an explanation of the exam’s structure and its various sections, with detailed guidance on how to answer questions within the allocated time. Additionally, tips were shared on how to achieve the desired scores.
At the end of the workshop, a discussion session was held, and participants’ questions were addressed. This interactive environment contributed to enhancing participants’ understanding of the IELTS exam’s requirements and its academic and professional significance.
This event aligns with two Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 4, Quality Education, by developing and enhancing the skills of faculty members, and Goal 17, which calls for partnerships to achieve the goals.
