The Council of the University of Baghdad in its thirteenth session, held in the presence of the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Insaf, directed the deanships of the formations that the community studies submitted by the teachers should be within their academic specializations, and be based on logical data that contribute to addressing some societal issues.
The Council also directed the assignment of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Suhail Najm Abdullah, to prepare an integrated description of the concept of community study, to ensure the achievement of the desired goals to promote the goals of scientific research in solving the new societal problems suffered by some segments of Iraqi society.
In a related context, the Council assigned the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Amir Faisal Abdul Amir, to follow up on the issue of deletion minutes to remove scrap from university formations, stressing the importance of facilitating administrative procedures related to the deletion process.
The recommendations included holding a specialized workshop to discuss the mechanisms for implementing the scrap write-off, with the participation of specialists from the concerned departments in the university presidency, with the aim of developing clear mechanisms that contribute to accelerating this process in accordance with the approved controls.
These measures come as part of the mother university’s efforts to enhance its role in community service and to develop its academic and administrative environment in line with quality and efficiency standards.
