The festival aims to give students the opportunity to showcase their artistic works and express their visions and ideas through the fine arts, as well as to develop aesthetic sense, discover young talents and abilities, and encourage artistic initiatives that enrich the university environment culturally and creatively.

The Director of the Student Activities Department at the University of Baghdad, Dr. Ali Sadiq, said that organizing the festival comes within the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s orientation toward strengthening extracurricular activities and expanding student participation in cultural and artistic events, in line with building a well-rounded university character that combines academic knowledge, artistic taste, and creativity.

This activity contributes to achieving two of the Sustainable Development Goals, namely Goal 4, which calls for quality education, in addition to Goal 17, which relates to partnerships for the goals.
