The University of Baghdad Council held its 24th meeting, chaired by the President of the University, Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, to discuss several university-related issues and issue a number of administrative directives.
During the meeting, the President emphasized the importance of focusing on women’s affairs units within all university formations, finding solutions to the challenges faced by these units, and enhancing and supporting them to fulfill their intended purpose. He also directed the completion of procedures for the disposal of worn-out furniture after finalizing the relevant reports.
Additionally, he highlighted the need to improve campus greenery and plant seedlings in collaboration with civil society organizations interested in this matter. Ansaf, tasked the Director of the Quality Assurance Department with organizing a central workshop on national Ranking for all university departments.
At the end of the meeting, the President honored the departments that achieved first place in the Iraqi ranking for 2023, issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This ranking was based on several criteria, including program accreditation, curriculum quality, and the standing of scientific departments in global rankings.
