The Department of Archeology at the College of Arts has organized a scientific field visit for second, third and fourth grade students to the ancient city of Babylon as part of the scientific requirements for students of the department to identify the remains of the ancient city of Babylon. This is one of the most famous cities located in the center of Mesopotamia and was present for the greatest empire in the ancient Babylonian era by its famous king Hammurabi, the sixth king of the first Babylon dynasty (1792-1750 BC), as well as King Nebuchadnezzar II (605-562 BC), including many palaces, temples and defensive fortifications.
