The National Center for Population and Demographic Studies at the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Ministry of Planning, held a panel discussion on the mechanism of work of the population census program, in which the official spokesman for the Ministry of Planning, Mr. Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, and the Director of the Publishing and Promotion Center at the Statistics and Geographic Information Systems Authority, Nidaa Hussein Abdullah, and the lecturer in the Department of Media and Government Communication at the Presidency of the University of Baghdad, Assistant Lecturer Shahd Haider Abboud.
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Planning, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, pointed out that the workshop aims to provide a comprehensive explanation of the steps and procedures necessary to implement the census process efficiently and accurately, as well as training participants on the use of modern digital tools that contribute to accelerating data collection and analysis.
The Director of the Publishing and Promotion Center at the Statistics and GIS Authority, Nidaa Hussein Abdullah, pointed to the most important methods of data collection, verification techniques, as well as the importance of cooperation between different parties for the success of the national census project, as well as presenting how to address potential challenges in the field and ensure the quality of the information collected.
Assistant Lecturer Shahd Haider Abboud made a set of recommendations, including educating the public about the importance of adhering to directives through the media as applied in official channels, establishing targeted programs directed to the family, preparing advertisements for education and awareness about census operations, as well as forming a qualified and specialized technical and technical staff to deal with the public during the process of collecting and presenting data.
