The President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, inspected the Natural History Research Center and Museum and was received by the Director of the Center, Dr. Hana Hani Abdul Hussein, with the heads of scientific departments.
The President of the University was briefed on the museum’s exhibits, stressing the need to continue supporting the exhibit hall with models that increase the number of visitors by displaying the ideal atmosphere that pleases and attracts everyone who visits it. He also reviewed the center’s library, one of the largest scientific libraries in the Middle East, which provides science students and researchers with scientific resources specialized in pure sciences.
Ansaf discussed with the director of the center ways to improve the reality of the center, pointing to the communication and great interest of the university to support the museum, as well as putting forward a number of new ideas that can be added in the future, calling for attention to the scientific and awareness aspect, which contributes to the intensification of visits from various segments of society and state institutions.
The President of the University also pointed to the opening of cooperation with international capabilities specialized in the field of mummification and preservation of models, and the need to develop library halls and gardens to be an integrated scientific place for all visitors, praising the efforts of its employees to develop it and make it a name worthy of the University of Baghdad.
