The Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the General Secretariat of the Central Library, organized a book exhibition titled “Read and Take a Book.” The exhibition was attended by Dr. Alaa Nafe, the Director of the Center, and Dr. Taysir Fawzi Radeef, the Secretary-General of the Central Library.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Harith Mohammed Ibraheem, the Director of the Media and Government Communication Department at the University Presidency. In turn, emphasized the importance of organizing such exhibitions to promote the culture of reading and knowledge within the academic community, noting that the exhibition serves as a key platform for exchanging ideas and knowledge among researchers and intellectuals. He highlighted the university’s continuous efforts to foster this culture.
The exhibition featured a variety of scientific, cultural, and historical books, as well as a section dedicated to the Federal Integrity Commission, which included children’s drawing books and free educational materials. Many students participated in the exhibition and expressed their appreciation for it, calling for the organization of similar events to encourage reading.
The exhibition concluded with the free distribution of books to students and faculty members, encouraging them to embrace reading, education, and culture.
