Prof.Dr. Fatima Abdul Malih, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women at the University of Baghdad, received the delegations of the Iraqi Cultural Media Center, led by Director Mr. Majed Al-Saeed, and the Ahl Iraq Foundation for Productive and Community Development, led by Dr. Ayat Kareem Al-Maliki.
The purpose of the collaboration was to implement joint initiatives based on mutually agreed mechanisms, including organizing a voluntary campaign for planting flowers and trees, as well as a friendly basketball match between female faculty members and students, in cooperation with the Iraqi Cultural Media Center. Additionally, a breakfast event was planned with a small contribution from the Ahl Iraq Foundation for Productive and Community Development.
Prof.Dr. Fatima expressed her readiness to enhance sports and cultural cooperation in order to build strong ties with both governmental and non-governmental institutions, with the aim of exchanging expertise across all levels to benefit the institution and the students in the future.
The collaboration concluded by reinforcing mutual cooperation, which serves the advancement of sports in particular and society in general. These visits by non-governmental institutions contribute to achieving the sustainable development goals, particularly Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
