The President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, inaugurated the Baghdad Panorama at the Urban and Regional Planning Center for Graduate Studies in the presence of the Center’s Dean, Prof. Dr. Karim Hassan Alwan, and a group of project engineers.
After reviewing the Panorama of Baghdad, Ansaf stressed the importance of this achievement, which reflects the nature of the center’s work, design outputs, and urban architectural vision, which derives from the fragrance of the past architecture and the present sustainability technology through the mechanization of planning and modern and contemporary ideas, praising the center’s role in mobilizing expertise and employing them theoretically and practically as the only center that mixes humanities and scientific sciences in its study and results.
The President of the University also toured the GIS laboratory, which was unique in studying maps, determining areas accurately, and preparing the necessary maps for the design of projects and their locations in cities, and visited the center’s museum, which includes architectural designs for cities and projects to develop a number of residential shops as part of the projects of graduate students in the center, some of which were implemented by the responsible authorities within the infrastructure development projects in the country.
It is noteworthy that the President of the University directed the importance of supporting and developing the center to benefit from its scientific expertise and its advisory office due to the nature of its work and the vision it provides to the community, with the inclusion of the center’s outputs within the University of Baghdad Museum to be established soon.
