The Continuing Education Unit at Al-Kindi College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit, organized a dialogue seminar entitled (The Role of Women in the Development of Medical Technology: Fields and Opportunities) under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shihab Al-Aidani, and in the presence of college members. The session was chaired by the Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit, Assistant Lecturer Dr. Rayan Zeidan. The seminar aimed to demonstrate the role of women in the development of modern technology and provide health and medical services through their hard work in order to develop the medical field.
Ms. Nour Fares Abdulkarim, Head of the Information Technology and Website Division, delivered research on the role of women in the technology market. The tremendous opportunities available to women in the medical sector were highlighted, despite challenges such as the pay gap, but supportive initiatives contribute to the empowerment of more women. Technology needs a diversity of perspectives, and women play a pivotal role in innovation and improving product quality. The symposium concluded by emphasizing the importance of supporting the role of women in the field of medical technology to achieve sustainable progress.
