The Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad hosted Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shihab Al-Aidani and the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Taghreed Al-Haidari, founder of the Theater Clinic and professor of theatrical arts at the College of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Jabbar Khammat Hassan, to discuss the preparation of a training program that includes a series of theatrical performances, dealing with sensitive topics such as drug risks, women’s empowerment, domestic violence, and others, and the program also aims to enhance awareness about social risks and develop artistic skills for all participants.
The visit aimed to educate students and develop their skills in the fields of communication and arts, and it was also agreed that Prof. Dr. Jabbar Khammat Hassan will present lectures on theatrical art therapy, which will include extracurricular activities, methodology, and procedures related to theatrical therapy, and educate the community about social risks and how to deal and address these conditions, which they may be exposed to, and this will be through the theatrical work that will be performed by a group of students of the College of Medicine Al-Kindi.
