The Dean of the College of Mass communication at the University of Baghdad and Chair of the Committee of Deans of Mass communication Colleges and Departments in Iraqi universities, Prof.Dr. Ammar Tahir Muhammad, chaired a committee meeting with the participation of the deans of Mass communication colleges from the University of Iraq and Dhi Qar, as well as the heads of media departments from Imam Al-Kadhim College and the universities of Kufa, Babel, Wasit, Al-Mustansiriya, Samarra, Tikrit, and Kirkuk, in addition to the Secretary of the Head of the Media Department at Al-Alamein Institute for Higher Studies.
The meeting aimed to discuss and review the outcomes of the previous meeting, assess the current state of media colleges and departments, explore the development of curricula and course offerings in some departments, unify the names of other departments, and form committees to outline the content of new courses and emerging departments.
Additionally, the introduction of artificial intelligence courses in the first year for some departments was discussed, along with joint examinations between public and private universities, and other issues related to the enhancement of the work of mass communication colleges and departments.
