Prof.Dr. Ameer Faisal Abdul Ameer, the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs at the University of Baghdad, visited the Center for Natural History Museum and Research. He was received by the center’s director, Dr. Hanaa Hani Al-Saffar, to review the center’s operations and discuss the challenges and obstacles it faces, as well as to propose solutions to overcome them.
During his visit, Prof.Dr. Abdul Ameer toured the center’s corridors, inspecting the scientific departments, exhibition hall, library, and other units, as well as visiting the scientific laboratories to understand the key services provided by the center, which include the identification of animal and plant specimens and scientific collaboration with relevant institutions and ministries.
He also reviewed the rare scientific collections and ongoing research projects, including a wide range of preserved animals, dried plants, and rare fossils. He highlighted several directives aimed at enhancing this scientific establishment, given its importance and role in promoting environmental awareness and preserving biodiversity in Iraq.
At the end of the visit, Prof.Dr. Ameer Faisal Abdul Ameer praised the efforts of the center’s staff in advancing the scientific and research landscape in a manner befitting the prestige of our esteemed university and its leading role in improving the quality of scientific research for the benefit of society.
