The Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit at the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad organized an electronic course entitled “Electronic Archiving”, in which Dr. Bayrak Hussein Jumaa lectured, with the participation of a number of teachers, employees and students of the college.
The course aimed to highlight the importance of electronic archiving, which lies in the possibility of accessing the required information in a short time and not referring to the paper archive, as well as its potential to retain a huge amount of information that paper archiving cannot save, and to develop the efficiency and quality of work.
It included addressing the most important disadvantages of electronic archiving, which are the cost of the devices used as scanning devices, the possibility of some malfunctions of these devices, and technical problems, as well as hacking and stealing stored files.
This scientific event is an important step in enhancing awareness and developing skills among professors, employees, and students at the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad and improving their use of electronic archiving and the most important programs they work on.
