The University of Baghdad ranked third in the test results of the Higher Education Award for Reading in its second edition for the year 2024, in the exam that the competitors took in the content of the book (Islamic Views on the Declaration of Human Rights) by the martyr Muhammad Al-Sadr, may his secret be sanctified and the book (The Civilized Question.. How to Innovate Our Future in a Changing World) by Zaki Milad.

The student Zahraa Muhammad Fadel from the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad ranked third with (88) degrees, while the student Muhammad Al-Mustafa Abdul Qadir from the College of Pharmacy ranked fourth with (88), and the student Maryam Muhammad Fadel from the College of Medicine Al-Kindi, and the student Ali Muhammad Shaker from the College of Engineering achieved advanced stages out of (1327) one thousand three hundred and twenty-seven students from various scientific and humanitarian disciplines.

The competition program includes honoring the winners with an amount of one hundred million dinars, so that the first ten winners receive four million dinars for each winner, while the twelfth of the winners receive three million dinars for each winner, while the thirteenth share of the winners is two million dinars for each winner, and the fourteenth of the winners receive one million dinars for each winning student.

In this regard, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, expressed in a message to the participants and registrants his high appreciation for his students who competed in an important cultural field embodied in the Higher Education Award for Reading, noting at the same time the importance of promoting cultural awareness to meet intellectual challenges.
