The Council of the University of Baghdad held its second session for the academic year 2024-2025 under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, and in the presence of the Assistant President of the University of Baghdad for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, the Assistant President of the University of Baghdad for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Amir Faisal Abdul Amir, and the deans of the parent university formations.
The session included assigning the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs to form a committee headed by him and the membership of the Assistant Deans for Scientific Affairs and the Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at the University Presidency to develop a policy and vision regarding the subject of enhancing the position of university colleges in the classification (QS by subject).
The university’s formations were also directed to pay attention to scientific laboratories and equip them to provide the best scientific experiences for our students, and to emphasize the development of research units in the formations to accommodate the large number of teaching staff and to build new specialized research lines, enhancing the university’s role in community service and improving the university’s rank and formations in international rankings, as well as directing the Council to all university formations by installing specializations (general and precise) related to the work of the formations for use in the scientific and administrative structure of the university.
