The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, expressed his appreciation in an official letter of thanks and recognition to the Student Activities Department at the University of Baghdad for its outstanding participation in student activities and achieving the top three positions for the 2023/2024 academic year.
In response, the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof.Dr. Baha Ibraheem Ansaf, expressed his happiness with the athletic achievements of the university, emphasizing that the sports teams delivered remarkable performances that deserved the first-place title in the championship.
It is worth mentioning that the University of Baghdad secured first place in the volleyball and athletics championships as part of the Iraqi Universities Cup, as well as in numerous other national and international sporting, artistic, and scouting competitions. These successes came as a result of the dedicated efforts of the department’s administration, led by Dr. Ali Sadiq Thiyab, along with the department’s advanced staff, in striving to achieve these distinguished results.
