The Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Center for Educational and Psychological Research and in the presence of a number of professors and researchers, organized a workshop entitled (The psychological impact of drugs on Iraqi society).
The workshop aimed to talk about the physiology of addiction in terms of dividing the types of drugs according to their impact on the addicted person, doubling the situation and its development in a period according to the quality of the pills or narcotic substance and the emergence of the first factors on the human nervous system, stressing taking care and caution and monitoring these cases when the onset of infection or addiction to them.
The teacher, Dr. Samaa Faleh Ghaly, a teacher at the Educational and Psychological Research Center, participated in her research paper tagged (physical and psychological effects of drug addicts), speaking about drug addicts suffering from underweight and redness of the eyes with dark circles around them, conscious, fatigue, drowsiness and nausea, and the person is introverted, isolated, stressed, anxiety, mood swings, nervousness, lying, theft and readiness to commit a murder that may lead to the end of his life by death or imprisonment.
