The University Committee for Reviewing the Draft Strategy for Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance held a meeting chaired by Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, President of the University of Baghdad, with the attendance of Prof.Dr. Fadel Al-Saadi, Director of the Center for Educational and Psychological Research, and members of the committee led by Prof.Dr. Hassan Ali Sayid Al-Daraji.
The meeting focused on discussing the preliminary draft of the strategy, which aims to develop the counseling and educational services provided to students and to enhance the psychological and social roles of educational counselors within the university. During his speech, Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf emphasized the importance of establishing a comprehensive strategic plan that meets the needs of students and enhances the educational environment at the university.
Prof.Dr. Fadel Al-Saadi noted that the Center for Educational and Psychological Research is working in collaboration with various colleges and university departments to prepare a comprehensive strategic draft that addresses students’ needs and assists in the development of counseling and educational programs. It was agreed to incorporate some proposed amendments from committee members and faculty, with a later date set for reviewing the final version of the strategy before its official approval.
This meeting is part of the University of Baghdad’s efforts to enhance the quality of education and provide psychological and educational support to its students, contributing to the university’s objectives and the development of the academic environment.
