On Wednesday, Prof.Dr. Ammar Tahir, Dean of the College of Mass communication at the University of Baghdad, and Mahmoud Al-Tamimi, Chairman of the Federal Service Council, agreed to enhance collaborative efforts in scientific research and training for the Council’s personnel working in public relations, media, and government communication.
This agreement was made during Al-Tamimi’s visit to the College of Mass Communication to attend the discussion of a master’s thesis related to the Federal Service Council. The Dean expressed his willingness to provide media services, consultancy, and training for the media and public relations staff within this new institution, aligning with the integration goals emphasized by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof.Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf on several occasions.
Prof.Dr. Tahir presented a proposal to the Chairman of the Federal Service Council to discuss the issues and challenges facing the work of its departments in the field of media and government communication. The purpose of the proposal is to encourage researchers to select scientific topics for their theses and dissertations that could result in recommendations and suggestions for professional and academic solutions.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Chairman of the Council revealed a “plan to open applications for a new form for employment codes, aiming to update and add new data for those who have encountered issues or deficiencies in entering their employment information, or those who have recently obtained equivalency for their master’s and doctoral degrees.”
Al-Tamimi confirmed that “the date for opening the form will be after the completion of the second employment program, scheduled to take place between September and November 2024, for top students and holders of advanced degrees, in accordance with the instructions of the Federal Budget Law.”
