The College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific workshop on Social Engineering via the Google Meet platform, attended by a number of faculty members, undergraduate, and postgraduate students. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Hakima Shakir Hassan and Assist.Prof.Dr. Ibtisam Khalef Abdul Ali.
The workshop aimed to explore the types of social engineering and why it is considered highly risky. It included discussions on the stages of social engineering attacks, techniques of deception in social engineering, and strategies for preventing becoming a victim of social engineering.
The event covered stages of social engineering attacks, deception techniques used in social engineering, and strategies for preventing falling victim to social engineering. The researcher recommended during the workshop to prioritize privacy and avoid sharing personal information, as attackers may use it to impersonate you and attack your friends. They may also use the information to craft more convincing attacks against you.
