The College of Engineering, represented by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Diaa Jassem, and the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Karim Hassan, received a delegation from the Industrial Research and Development Authority of the Ministry of Industry within the framework of scientific and research cooperation between Iraqi universities and various ministries.
The visit aims to open new horizons for research cooperation between the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad and the Industrial Research and Development Authority, within the various scientific disciplines in the field of engineering, and the meeting included discussing many important points, including holding joint seminars and workshops between the two sides in the College of Engineering and paving the way for signing a cooperation mechanism aimed at enhancing research cooperation and conducting the necessary laboratory tests in the authority’s laboratories.
The delegation of the Industrial Research and Development Authority expressed their thanks to the College of Engineering for providing the necessary facilities to hold this meeting and make the visit a success.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Diaa Jassim welcomed such agreements, expressing the readiness of the College of Engineering to provide all scientific and academic facilities within the framework of cooperation between ministries and the importance of opening new horizons for research cooperation in the interest of students and academic researchers in the college.
