Assistant Professor Dr. Kawakeb Najm Al-Din, Director of the National Pioneering Center for Cancer Research at the University of Baghdad, participated in the twelfth scientific conference held by the United Iraqi Medical Association in the United Kingdom and Ireland, which was held at Courtyard Heathrow Hall in the British capital, London.
The conference was opened by Dr. Rafid Aziz, President of the Unified Iraqi Medical Society, with a welcoming speech at the meeting, which was attended by representatives of the Iraqi diplomatic corps in the United Kingdom, as well as a number of doctors, consultants and professors from Iraq, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Sweden, Germany, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the presence of a number of Iraqi doctors members of the United Iraqi Medical Association in Britain, medical competencies, Iraqi professors and academics in the diaspora, and representatives of academic institutions of the Iraqi community.
The conference aimed to develop the health sector and promote medical education in Iraq, and to benefit from Iraqi competencies abroad in providing Iraqi health institutions and universities with modern expertise and technologies to enrich this vital sector, and to consolidate joint and constructive communication between Iraqi doctors professors in Iraq and their counterparts in the United Kingdom and the diaspora.
In conclusion, Dr. Kawakeb Najm Al-Din praised this conference and stressed the readiness of the National Leading Center for Cancer Research to cooperate permanently and continuously with the Medical Association, especially in various academic and scientific fields to serve our country and our dear people.
