The College of Pharmacy participated in the inaugural symposium announcing the initiative to enhance the capabilities of industrial pharmacists, launched by the esteemed President of the Pharmacists Syndicate, Dr. Haider Fouad Al-Sayegh. The event also saw the participation of the Dean of the College, Assist.Prof.Dr. Sarmad Hashim Al-Khatib, and was attended by numerous prominent figures in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as several professors and postgraduate students.
The activity included various activities and lectures, in which speakers discussed numerous details pertaining to the pharmaceutical industry, the challenges it faces, and strategies to overcome them. Al-Khatib expressed his full support for the college’s contribution to this noble project aimed at advancing the capabilities of pharmacists and the national pharmaceutical industry. In his speech, he discussed future plans to achieve this goal. Additionally, the head of the Pharmaceutics Department, Khaled Kazem Al-Kanani, and the Advisor to the President of the Pharmacists Syndicate for Pharmaceutical Industry Affairs served as coordinators for the symposium.
The symposium concluded with recommendations, the most important of which was the necessity of cooperation among all entities academic institutions, ministries, and syndicates to elevate the profession of pharmacy in general, and the pharmaceutical industry in particular.
