The Higher Institute of Accounting and Financial Studies held a scientific symposium titled “Human Rights and Gender Equality” under the supervision of the Dean of the Institute, Assist.Prof.Dr. Ali Mohammed Thajil Al-Mamouri. The event was attended by the Assistant Dean, Assist.Prof.Dr. Wafaa Hussein Salman Al-Haidari, and included the participation of several faculty members and postgraduate students from the institute.
The symposium concluded that human rights, particularly the rights of employees and workers in the public sector, along with their responsibilities as per the prevailing laws and regulations, are essential for creating a conducive work environment. These activities fall under the goals of environment and sustainability, specifically aiming to achieve Goal 5: Gender Equality and the empowerment of all women and girls.
