In collaboration with Qi Card Company, University of Baghdad hosted a workshop for the Smart University project to outline the roadmap for project implementation. The workshop took place at the Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering’s council hall, under the leadership of Dr. Amir Faisal Abdul Amir, Assistant President for Administrative Affairs. Also present were officials from the Government Contracts Department, the University President’s Office, the Computing Center, Ibn Sina Center, Legal Affairs, and representatives from Qi Card Company.
This project aims to implement Smart University technology at the University of Baghdad, amidst the rapid advancements of the communications and modern technology revolution. It also aims to transform educational systems worldwide by integrating them with information and communication technology, utilizing smart technology in university infrastructure to enhance the educational process’s vitality and effectiveness.
During the event, Dr. Amir, emphasized the university’s commitment to charting the roadmap for the Smart University project. He highlighted aligning with advanced global university standards, transferring experiences, and proposing Smart University criteria in discussions with representatives from Qi Card Company.
