The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, under the auspices of its Dean, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abdul Maleh, and in cooperation and coordination with the Theoretical Sciences Branch and the Research Project Committee, organized the annual student conference of the 67th session, held under the slogan (With scientific research, we improve our students).
The conference curriculum included a number of paragraphs, including the entry and review of the students of the fourth stage, the playing of the national anthem, the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, and then standing to read Surat Al-Fatihah in honor of the souls of our righteous martyrs, in addition to handing over the flag to the next stage, cutting the graduation cake.
Dr. Fatima also delivered a speech on this occasion, indicating the importance of research as a turning point in your scientific life, because our universities today are competing according to international standards and classifications represented by the quality of outputs and their sobriety and the quality of scientific research in community service in order to meet the labor market to achieve sustainable development goals that aim to improve the quality of education in general.
Then the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and students delivered her speech, noting the proof of our students today that our efforts were not wasted in order to complete your scientific career with success and excellence, offering a greeting to them and their families for their efforts in delivering their children throughout the years of study, as well as congratulating the faculty members for their annual numbers of distinguished batches of graduates and physical education teachers.
The head of the research project committee, Dr. Wedad Kazim, delivered a speech on this occasion, stressing the extent of the student’s commitment to the steps of scientific research methods and their application in theoretical and field research that addresses a modern research problem that comes out with results and recommendations that serve the labor market and society.
It is worth noting that the aim of the conference is to crystallize the efforts and endeavors of the college to provide a scientific environment that makes the student the main focus of the educational process, clarify human concepts and values, support the student, and highlight her personality, an educational scientific experience through which the student participates with her colleagues, study problems in experiences and experiences, and find solutions in the field of physical education and sports sciences, develop the creativity and leadership energies of students practically and realistically and encourage them to take the initiative and expression, develop the spirit of competition among students and prepare leaders who know research. It adopts the scientific method of thinking about their work, developing the student’s ability to deliver and discuss according to correct scientific methods.
This scientific event is in line with the fourth goal of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which relates to ensuring high-quality education and equal learning opportunities for all.
