The College of Science for Women hosted the Department of Quality Assurance and Academic Performance at the University of Baghdad to conduct a workshop entitled “Measuring Educational Outcomes for Academic Programs.” The workshop, led by Prof.Dr. Salam Al-Rubaii, was attended by heads of scientific departments, officials from quality assurance and academic performance evaluation departments, institutional and programmatic accreditation unit officials, as well as academic description committee officials at the University of Baghdad.
The workshop aimed to assess the educational outcomes of courses and monitor the program’s performance in achieving student learning outcomes. It focused on methods for dividing outcomes through examination questions, homework assignments, reports, and laboratory work. Additionally, it aimed to evaluate the quality of planning, teaching, and assessment processes, leading to insights that could help identify factors influencing students’ academic performance, both positively and negatively.
