A university committee from the Presidency of the University of Baghdad reviewed the conduct of second-term exams for postgraduate students for the academic year 2023/2024 in several departments of the College of Science and the College of Engineering, which recently commenced.
The committee, headed by the Director of the Postgraduate Affairs Department, Prof.Dr. Hussein Qasim Hussein, accompanied by the Director of the Studies and Planning Department, Prof.Dr. Manal Shakir Ali, and the Director of the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department, Prof.Dr. Inas Khalifa Al-Sharqi, examined the conduct of the final exams for postgraduate students. They assessed the preparations made by the college administrations and examination committees, the level of services provided to students during their exams, the logistical arrangements available in the examination halls, the provision of a conducive environment for successful exams, and the nature of the exam questions.
The committee expressed its satisfaction with the conduct of the examination process, noting the high level of organization and smooth flow. They commended the efforts of the college deans, their assistants, the heads of scientific departments, the members of the examination committees, and the proctors for their contributions to the success of the examination process. The committee also praised the students’ awareness, which was reflected in their adherence to the guidelines and instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and the university presidency. This adherence is crucial for passing the exams and preparing for the research writing phase.
