Prof.Dr. Ali Hussein Ali Qadouri, Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department at Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, visited Le Mans University in France for the third consecutive time. This visit is part of the ongoing scientific and academic collaboration with prestigious international universities and aims to support the advancement of scientific research under the Visiting Professor Program.
The purpose of the visit was to establish scientific research cooperation with the Acoustics Center in the field of acoustics in medical engineering. During the visit, experiments were conducted in the acoustics laboratory to record muscle sound signals and to investigate the correlation between the forces exerted by the hand and the muscle sound signals.
The visit included a collaborative effort by the research team from Tunisia, France, and Iraq to develop a sound amplification system using 3D printing technology. This system involves designing a wristband that records muscle sound signals. Experiments were conducted with multiple participants to study muscle sounds, and the collected data were analyzed, yielding very promising results. Work is ongoing to further develop and refine the system, aiming to reduce its size and improve the quality of the electronics used.
