The Center for Urban and Regional Planning for Graduate Studies at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific workshop entitled “English Language: Challenges and Solutions in Writing Scientific Research” delivered by the assistant teacher Ammar Ghaleb Salim, in the presence of the Dean of the Center, Prof. Dr. Karim Hassan Alwan, and a number of teachers and employees, as well as graduate students.
The workshop aimed to shed light on the most prominent challenges faced by the researcher and the student in writing scientific research in English, and the workshop dealt with research writing strategies, most notably writing joint research in which researchers exchange information and ideas, which contribute to reducing linguistic errors.
One of the most important recommendations is the need for diversity in the use of writing templates and vocabulary, and to rely on the observations of supervisors and evaluators in the preparation of research.
